Reem Acra Bridal Collection Spring 2011
Reem Acra gives FabTV her first exclusive interview and a sneak peek before the official launch of her new bridal collection for spring 2011.
The theme in this collection is all about combining multiple fabrics and three-dimensional embroideries all put together in one dress.

This dress is all about the tulle layers with different kinds of embroideries added and the shearing on the dress looks very modern. As a surprise the skirt can come off and it becomes a mini dress which is a new thing in this collection.

Another dress has all beautiful ruches with beautiful Alençon lace from France with three dimensional embroideries, with crystals and silver details. A lot of things are happening in the skirt: puffyness (is that a real word?) and layering in the skirts, the lace and tulle.

(Alençon lace or point d’Alençon is a needle lace that originated in Alençon, France. It is sometimes called the “Queen of lace.” – wikipedia)
One more is made with satin , lace, silk, organza and beads. All you can think of in one dress and it still looks simple and beautiful. Again three dimensional flowers made of satin.

The necklines are strapless, either with sweetheart neckline or straight neckline. The emphasis on waist is important, the bustiers are extremely important and most of all we love the layers!
