Help make a local teen feel like a “Princess for a Night”
I read an interesting article on WNDU.com today.
Many young girls are finding it difficult to gather the funds to buy a prom dress. The dress, new shoes, makeup and hairdo… it all adds up quickly.
Up to $1000 is not exceptional and some students (or maybe plenty of them) can use some help.
Ziker Cleaners and the Junior League of South Bend, IN are currently holding their 7th Annual “Princess for a Night” prom dress drive.
They are counting on you to send them your dresses you have not worn for a couple of years and donate them.
Just face it. Whatever turns up during your spring cleaning you will probably not wear again, if it even still fits at all.
So you can donate new or gently used prom dresses or bridesmaid dresses to any of the eight Zikers locations in South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, or Elkhart through March 13th.
They need dresses in all sizes and hope to collect around 1500 of them. Did you know some girls wait in line all night to catch that lucky dress?
This year’s giveaway will be on March 20th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the College Football Hall of Fame.
