Designer Gowns At Goodwill Store Attract Tons Of Buyers
The hard hit economy is reflected all over America, from restaurants to the wedding industry. Recently, a Goodwill store in middle Tennessee held a huge bridal sale that sold over 500 different designer gowns at only $99-$300.
The store eventually sold over $9,000 worth of gowns that day. What a bargain that was for brides who had originally budgeted much more than that for their gowns. One bride-to-be reported saving over $500 on her name brand gown alone. That’s enough to have paid for her flowers alone!
Such significant savings drew quite the crowd as people were camping out to get in the door as early as 4:15 am. They came from as far away as Kentucky, just to attend this sale.
So, where did all these designer gowns come from? Local bridal stores donated them. Yes, you heard right. The generosity of the local community was amazing.
So, not only were these shoppers getting brand name gowns from the Goodwill store, but they weren’t even second hand ones. They were brand new.
Other wedding services vendors set up shop outside in the parking lot promoting their wares and handing out literature. It was a bargain bridal day for all who attended.
